Different types of T-shirt fabric and their printing methods

Which T-shirt material is the best fit for my employees? You may have the same question if you run a business and want to increase your brand association.

I have been running a T-shirt printing business for more than eight years. And I have come across the same questions from many clients. My clientele includes IT companies, Marketing agencies, Event management firms, and many other small businesses.

And therefore, I think I can give you the right direction in selecting the best-fit fabric for your employees.

You can find various t-shirt fabrics from cotton, bio-wash, dry fit, polyester, polo matty, lycra, stretchable, mixed cotton, linen, and many others. And somewhere before the Covid pandemic, I delivered most of the fabric.

After this, the situation has changed. We do not stock all those t-shirts except Cotton, Polo Matty, and Polyester Micro PP.

You may be looking for the best T-shirt. But, each client has a different definition of the best material. I am enlisting all the fabric types in the following sections. You can refer them in making your decision. I also include the printing method that is suitable for each fabric.

Polyester Micro PP:

It is made of polyester chemical that feels shiny and comfortable. It comes in limited colors.

All micro PP t-shirts come in 180 GSM.

You can use the fabric in the following situations;

  1. Event t-shirt – when you give it to anyone as a gift. The people can wear it in the event the whole day.
  2. Return gift – you can give it to visitors visiting your stall or office premises.
  3. Conference – when you need all employees to wear the same brand of t-shirts.

White sublimation t-shirt is the most bought item in all other colors. It gives brighter printing and captures all colors. It requires sublimation printing.

All other colors require DTF printing.

You can buy custom Polyester Micro PP t-shirts if you have any upcoming events.

Cotton or premium cotton:

It is the best comfortable fabric on all occasions. It costs a little more than polyester T-shirts. It comes in fewer colors.

The Cotton t-shirts come in 180 GSM, 220 GSM, and 280 GSM. If you need premium cotton, you can contact our sales representative. He will guide you accordingly.

You can use it in the following situations;

  1. Employee regular t-shirt – when you need to give it to your employees. It feels comfortable and premium.
  2. Group outing – when you plan a group trip with your family or employees.

All cotton t-shirts require DTF printing. You can not use sublimation printing on it.

You can buy personalized cotton t-shirts if you have a regular requirement in your company or are planning an upcoming trip.

Polo Matty:

It is the second best choice in t-shirt fabric. It costs similar to a Cotton t-shirt and has a different audience. Everyone likes a Polo design.

It comes in three different varieties;

  1. Spun matty.
  2. Dry-fit matty.
  3. Honeycomb.

The Polo Matty t-shirts come in 180 GSM, 220 GSM, and 280 GSM.

You can use it in the following situations;

  1. Corporate conference or event – when you give it to your employees during an event or a conference.
  2. Coaching classes – when you need to give a gift or goodies to your students.
  3. Catering business – when you need to give it to your catering employees.

All Polo Matty t-shirts require DTF printing. We can use sublimation printing if you have a black color design.
